The “Accord européen relatif au transport international des marchandises dangereuses par route” or the “European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road” is more commonly referred to as the ADR in the UK. It sets out the classification of a full range of hazardous materials and the requirements needed of haulage operators who transport them. The ADR treaty covers all of Europe, as well as significant parts of Asia and North Africa.
